Status method

How an entry gets into the feed and changes status.

Every entry answers four questions: what happened, where (GEO and vertical), who (network or operator) and how sure we are — the status.

The status changes when evidence appears. We never delete debunked entries: we show what we checked and what really happened.

We never publish people's names. Networks and operators are named only when the event is confirmed by them or by open data.

  • rumourHeard from the market, one or anonymous source. Not a basis for decisions.
  • checkingThere is evidence (screenshots, emails); we are checking with the parties.
  • confirmedConfirmed by a party to the event or by open data.
  • debunkedChecked — not true. We write what actually happened.
