Dominican Republic bill would freeze new gambling licences for 10 years
The Chamber of Deputies passed a single gambling law in two readings on 24 July. Once the licensee registry is published, no new authorisations would be granted for a decade; hotel and tourist-zone casinos are exempt. The bill must return to the Senate to reconcile amendments before reaching the president.
