Latvia introduces an investment account for crypto-assets and a one-off 10% declaration
On 15 October the Saeima amended the personal income tax law: tax arises only when withdrawals exceed the amount paid in, and trades inside the account are not taxed one by one. Crypto-assets held on 31 December 2026 can be declared once at 10% of market value. Declarations run from 1 April to 31 May 2027, with payment due by 23 July 2027.
